Event Details

Hong Kong is a long-standing global international business centre, benefiting from a free-flow of capital, a low and simple tax system, world class infrastructure and its unique status in China under "one country, two systems" which includes a common law jurisdiction and English as an official language.

For Australian companies seeking to invest or operate businesses in Hong Kong, the uncertainty of recent years has impacted perceptions of the city as a global business hub. With travel between Australia and Hong Kong at less than half pre-Covid levels there has also been a break-down in Australia-Hong Kong interconnectedness, a loss of networks of influence, and a diminished understanding in Australia of the real situation on the ground in Hong Kong.

At this Australia-Hong Kong Business Roundtable AustCham offers a valuable opportunity for guests to hear from the Chair of the Chamber's Board of Directors and leading business executives on:

  • why Hong Kong remains a key destination for investment,
  • the operating environment for international companies in Hong Kong, and
  • perspectives on the new pillars of economic growth and tapping into opportunities in Mainland China.

More speakers will be announced soon.
